Attorney Swartwood prepared my father's trust and will. When we needed him to provide a certification of trust he REFUSED to provide it. He ignored emails and phone calls and then called me late on a Friday night to tell me how busy he was and accused me of pressuring him to meet a false deadline (we were selling my dad's house and had an offer to close earlier than expected). After a vicious slander case from my accuser and the Clio school district, I was referred to Mr. Swartwood. I gave him a call and we talked for almost an hour. He convinced me that taking on such a case, although just, wasn’t in my best interest. It’s been 3 years and he was absolutely right. It was better for me to move on and achieve better things. So yes, the fact he rejected my business for the sake of bigger things for me tells me he is the kind of guy who has his clients best interest at heart.
