Smaltz said I’d never be able to heal my painful bladder syndrome. Then a year later an herbalist told me it was caused by oxalates and I healed myself in one month on a low oxalates diet
I had a persistent uti and Dr Bob was thorough in checking out my problem. Have not had a uti since then. Very professional and tells you what is wrong and why. Thank you Dr Bob.
Should it take 45 days to.receive my bladder biopsy report. Doesn’t seem fair to have to worry this long about do I have cancer returned or not. But am told I have to wait until my next appt with him.
I had to go to the hospital emergency room yesterday (3/6/2023) for a Urinary Tract Infection. The emergency room Dr. put in a catheter and told me to make an appointment with Dr. Smaltz to have it removed on 3/13/2023. When I called to make the appointment Dr. Smaltz said just wait until April 10 when I had a previous scheduled appointment with him. He refused to see me sooner even though the ER Dr. said to remove it on 3/13.
I have many health problems so I see a lot of doctors. Dr. Smaltz is at the top of my bad doctor list as he is the worst doctor I have ever seen. I have a speech problem so it took me three time to answer a question so he could understand what I was saying. He just got angry and left the room. He showed no respect or understanding. He didn't even have any suggestion for treating my problem he just wanted me to learn to self cath. I want a doctor who can think and not one who just wants to treat the systems.
The wait was a little long, but everything else was good. Very relaxed, atmosphere, staff were very nice and friendly. He explained my situation, reviewed test results and offered a noninvasive solution.
Dr. Smaltz is a friendly, down-to-earth, and interested physician. He not only helped me with a recurring problem, but provided long-term control. My husband and I were very grateful.
