After two years of treatment for an aggressive breast cancer, I’ve learned a lot about screening that I didn’t know before my diagnosis. Based on what I know now, I personally would look for a provider who incorporates formal risk assessment tools (like the Gail AND Tyrer-Cuzick models) and considers MRI when patients first present with new breast changes. In my own experience, those steps weren’t part of my initial care as I understood it at the time, which is something I would approach differently today.

I NEVER write reviews, but I need to share how amazing Dr. Pushkin is. She is empathetic, kind, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable. I was nervous about my options and she sat there, talked it through with me, and calmed my nerves. If you aren't sure about going to see her, DO IT! It's rare to find a doctor who truly makes you feel seen and heard.
