I’d stay away. I called him on the phone inquiring about what percentage of spot they pay, and he wouldn’t give me a clear answer. I understand in hand examination is needed, but for scrap silver, percentage bids are present for almost every professional. The person answering the phone was also very rude. Stay away, there are much better options in San Francisco.
Konstantin Balter at Robert R. Johnson Coin & Stamp Company provided me with a comprehensive review of the stamps, coins and silver I brought to him for valuation. He explained his analysis of the materials I brought which aligned with another assessment I received a few years ago. This time I sold the lot to him. I would definitely return should I unearth more items. An appointment is required, so call or email in advance to make one.
