One of the most thorough and caring doctors I have met in my 50 yrs. The weight loss program (6 months prior to surgery) taught me so much about nutrition and prepared me well for post surgery. My daughter was also seen and Dr. Polak requested a 2nd opinion from OSU due to her complex medical history. He was very cautious about surgery with her. Surgery for her was not the best option. Dr. Polaks office has been one of the most unorganized offices I have been to. Not only was I not given other weight loss options other than surgery. The appointments they set up were useless. Having me meet with 3 different nutritionists, within 1 week of each other. All of them telling me contradictory things to one another and giving no time to actually implement what “advice “ they were giving.
