Dr. Hellams offers that small town doctor service that I have been searching for. Our youngest is autistic and Dr Hellams always treats him so well. Doctor appointments for my son can be very challenging and scary for him but Dr Hellams always makes sure to make him as comfortable as possible, not forcing him to do things. He isn't forceful with his care. Supports you as a person and a parent. Office is very clean and orderly, never have to wait very long either.
After over 25 ++ years in Emergency Trauma & Critical Care nursing I can tell you as a patient Dr Hellman’s is the kind of doctor you want to see. You can trust him, he treats you with respect n values your opinion. My husband n I moved back to home to SC from Colorado after starting with another MD who was none of these we swapped to De Hellams.. he’s worth the drive..
I've recently moved to this area and was recommended this facility by a neighbor. I am so pleased to have found Dr. Hellams. His warm and welcoming demeanor makes you feel safe and he actually CARES and LISTENS. This is super important for people of color that are often dismissed and marginalized when it comes to their health care concerns. It may take a while to get an appointment with him, but when you do, you're in GREAT hands 👌🏼
