Had seen Dr Tao for years. He retired. Scheduled with Larew. Saw him one time in 2019. When I left that appointment I schedule for my 2020 annual diabetes eye check. It was scheduled for June 2020. When I called to verify they said I was not scheduled. IU changed scheduling system, and things were a scheduling nightmare. They pushed me until February 2021. By wife saw dr Larew talked about cataract surgery and she decided to have surgery experiencing blurred vision, have finally talked to a nurse to do so after two weeks messages left find out only one nurse schedules surgery not there the day we talked was told the scheduling nurse would call next week now at end of that week no reply called again yesterday even IU operator was unsuccessful to make contact with nurse and again left another message, have experienced being on hold numerous times now their system automatically g... read more
Excellent eye care! Caring, patient, knowledgeable and highly skilled. He has provided excellent eye care for my husband and me for over fifteen years. When we needed cataract surgery, Dr. Larew performed the surgery with skill, precision, and the best care, before and after, that I have ever experienced from a doctor. His staff is excellent, courteous, and supportive. I highly recommend Dr. Larew. He is the best!
I would rate a zero if allowed. My 93 year old grandmother has been seeing him for years. She was upset on the last visit and told him she didn't appreciate waiting for 40 minutes past the appointment time and sat in the room over 30 minutes after that before seeing him. He usually helps her with her walker and holds the door for her. Instead, he got up and walked out and shut the door behind him leaving my grandmother to fend for herself. He is supposed to be the professional. I can guarantee she will not be back.
