After my mother’s stroke, upon our initial meeting I found him to be dismissive and arrogant. I asked a related question and he answered me in a condescending response. Even questions about medications were dismissed. I stopped any additional questions and just waited for that appointment to be over.
This guy is exactly what is wrong with our medical care in this country. He does not care, he wastes time, does not listen etc. AVOID THIS GUY!

My husband and son love Dr Kawa. They can not say enough positive. I’m trying to switch over to see him too. He is thorough, but not an alarmist. He does not push medicine unless you really need it.
It truly breaks my heart to read the negative reviews. Dr. Kawa is, without a doubt, the most compassionate, caring, and extraordinary doctor we have ever met. My beloved 82 yr old mother was diagnosed with cancer two years ago, and he has treated her with incredible dedication, warmth, and understanding every step of the way.
