Absolutely the WORST ATTORNEY EVER! Unethical! Lies, Cheats! He has over Charged me and refuses to give a proper breakdown of the hours charged. He has avoided me and my calls. There is a group on facebook that are working towards a lawsuit against him. He has a reputation of taking clients money and over charging. He truly is a crook. He is only interested in your money and will take new clients while on YOUR TIME! He spends half of his time talking to clients on the phone while your sitting there for your appointment. Worst attorney ever. He was happy to take the little bit of money I had in a custody case but handed me off to Beckley and I was grossly overcharged. I'm happy to hear he's retiring and probably should have years ago. Don't waste your money.
He will lie take money that was never agreed upon and plus every bit of information you give him to go to court he don't even turn it in and don't even subpoena the people that he was supposed to I would not recommend him to no one

I would recommend James D Beckley to anyone going through a divorce. He’s not just a GREAT Attorney but a great man as well. I was a wreck emotionally when him and I first met at his office. He took the time to call and check on me. He always gave me his opinion on what he thought the best course of action would be, but at the same time supported me in what I wanted, and that meant a lot to me.
