Dr. Demuro is not my primary doc, but I do see him occasionally. He is very strict about not using pain killers for pain control. I had two major spine surgeries and I am in constant pain. I do take opiates but at the bare minimum. Dr Demuro helped me with medical cannabis, that with minimal opiates and I am able to control my pain to a level that does not keep me confined to a chair.
