While vacationing in Denver we wanted to try bison. This bbq was the perfect pick. They catered our family reunion of 30+. Working with the owner was awesome. Can’t say enough good things about our experience, great bbq and tasty sides.
We tried the 2 meat plate with brisket and bison ribs with the andoillle grits and the poblano mac and cheese. Overall this place is not worth the trip. The brisket was dry and flavorless. The grits were ok but nothing special. The bison was interesting but not something I would recommend, it was like lamb and brisket mixed with a rib, just strange and oily. Is this place closed it seems every time I look at it or go there it’s closed? Does anybody know what’s going on?
No good. It was so bad. I ate every single bison rib on the tray. Don’t go here. Matter of fact, if you go just leave your tray…I’ll take care of it for you. Seriously though, the bison ribs were a knockout. I was skeptical because there’s no barbecue smell but I’ll be damned. These were some damn good ribs. No sauce is needed but if you want, give their hot sauce a try it was quite tasty on the ribs. Customer service was great too.
