Been a service technician in the ocean county NJ area for 25 plus years. I read a bunch of the other reviews and can confirm he is grumpy, rude individual with no whip cream and cherry on top but he did a amazing job rebuilding the starter on the 1932 Ford BB truck for us looked and functioned like new, so the rest of the attitude didn’t bother me all that much . Ron Mancuso is INCOMPETENCE at it's worst! I brought him in a starter from a vintage 6 volt car that I just bought. The mechanic diagnosed the slow cranking to being the starter. Ron flatly stated that there was nothing wrong with the starter despite it putting out only 2.5 volts from a brand new 6 volt battery. He didn't even do a bench test! He said all the mechanics are misdiagnosing the actual problem which he suspected was a bad ground. I called him telling him I want to pay for a rebuild. HE TOLD ME TO TAKE IT ELSEWHER... read more
No dice. Not recommended. Brought my ‘39 Ford starter in. Would have paid to get it correct. I left it, picked it up in pieces. Grumpy and not helpful.
