I had a bit of a mixed experience buying a car from Rix motors. We saw a very nice looking Citroen Cactus 1.6 BlueHdi on Autotrader at the right price advertised here : we live locally so went straight down to look at it. The salesman was very attentive and professional and we went for a test drive straight away. My purchase from Rix was long distance and concluded unseen, a practice I would not usually countenance. Just purchased a 997.2 from Scott at RIX [H&R sports and classics]. Absolutely fantastic company to deal with - professional, ethical and transparent which is really refreshing these days. Having purchased my car from Rix Motor Company in September 2024, I immediately noticed a hesitation when driving home. I informed them of this issue the very next week. I should also mention that I paid £1000 for their in house warranty. My advice to anyone is to look elsewhere for an independent warranty instead. Over the last year, I have been asked to take the car for diagnosis a number of times at my own cost and on my own time to other garages. I have repeatedly been given excuses as to why Rix could not look at it. A... read more
