My family and I were staying in Palm Springs for vacation, and since we drive a Rivian R1S, we decided to check out this charging outpost. We were so impressed! The two team members on site, a gentleman and a young woman, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even offered us coffee when we arrived. My husband and I are latte drinkers, so we politely declined, but we did end up browsing the shop and picked up some Rivian merch and a candle that smells amazing. Fantastic experience. I was there two days in a row, topping off for a trip out to Ambuoy Crater, and then topping off before heading home. It was more like hanging out at a friend's place than a charging stop, and I was greeted by my first name soon as I walked in the second day. I'd spent enough time telling them about my trip that I figured they might enjoy a pic a friend took of my R1T, tent unfurled, in the glow of the Milky Way.
We visited after hours ans it took us more than 20 minutes to create a profile and we were unable to get the code for the bathroom becasue there wasn't enough service to load the Rivian map/ the map didn't show the outpost as an option while we were there. Please provide wifi or figure out how your chargers can provide bathroom access.
Amazing place and staff. I had a rental and they showed me how to use the equipment. Very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend stopping to recharge. We charged just before going into Joshua Tree NP and had plenty to drive all over.
