There used to be a great self service garage in Kirkland called Stews garage. You could book it by the hour for a reasonable price, they had the lifts, tools, fluid recycling, it was awesome. Then rivian came in with their fat checkbook and booked it solid forcing out everyone who wanted to save money by fixing their own car. Thanks a lot rivian, your ugly trucks cost 80k, build your own garage.
My partner and friends visited over the weekend to compare models and potentially put in an order, but wow, what a terrible experience from start to finish! I was looking forward to checking out the R1T and the interior selections, but there were children running amok EVERYWHERE. I wish the sales associates would have said something because children were taking up all of the driver and passenger seats, screaming and pressing all of the buttons and features, and just having free rein as if it were a playground. All I can say is WOW. I went in there to kill some time, having been a fan of Rivian for a while. I was greeted by Summer, who I was honest with that I had no intention of purchasing and was just browsing. She spent 45 minutes with me off and on, answering questions, providing facts and value, like I was going to buy multiple vehicles! She was absolutely outstanding and very knowledgeable. If you are even slightly curious about owning a Rivian, please go speak with her!!
