Damn Rivians are sweet cars, but the issues off the line with a brand new rivian are ridiculous. My car had spent half of the first month in the shop and every step of the way i have to argue for a tiny bit of help and ownership of the issues. My car is still broken. Also this dealership overcharged me almost $3k in taxes and has yet to issue the check (which i also had to hound them for). We’ll see if it ever actually arrives. Watch your money folks, they’ll take it from your account without approval.
I’ve had my truck in twice in two years; despite how busy they are now, these guys are professionals, and the warranty has been a true blessing. Thank you Rivian Team!!
It saddens me to write this review because I want to love my Rivian R1S. It’s a beautiful SUV, and driving it is a pleasure. However, Rivian refuses to stand behind their product, and as a consumer, I feel compelled to warn others. The pictures show my R1S with 23,000 miles. The Pirelli All-Terrain tires—EV-specific and rated for 50,000 miles—are nearly bald in the front and not much better in the rear. Even Pirelli was shocked at the wear after just 23,000 miles! I test drove a Rivian R1T today with the full intention of putting down a deposit. I just wanted to know the difference between a cash purchase and a lease purchase (the lease qualifies for a $7,500 credit). Normally, at any other car company, they would pull your credit and give you all of the lease details. The number one piece of information is the residual value, as this determines the interest rate of the lease financing. It was a great experience to be at this brunch, one of the factors driving me to come in is the atmosphere Rivian made in its store. However, it was a good chat with Stuart, he was friendly and knowledgeable about everything. All the best for this company.
