My Mom absolutely loves her home at Riverside Residence. She has made many friends. The staff is amazing. The director is so helpful and attentive to the needs of all residents. The owner has made lots of upgrades to make living at Riverside Residence very pleasant. They offer activities and entertainment on regular basis. Another perk is that there a a very nice river walk directly next to the facility. My mother can use her electric scooter and stroll the river and also get to restaurants in downtown McHenry.

One of our members, Joyce Yarbrough, lived at Riverside for almost a year before her passing. She loved it. Management is amazing. They treated her like family from the moment she moved in. The residences are wonderful! She had friends immediately. The events they throw are fun and the rooms are beautiful with views of the Fox River. This place is a must if your loved ones still want a little independence but you don’t have to worry at all if they will be loved and looked after. I have to say I am so happy my mom is here at I have to say I am so happy my mom is here at Riverside Residence. We moved Mom here about eight years ago. She has had some ups and downs with health issues, and everyone here has always gone above and beyond to help support our family. The staff is great. We really appreciate all that John, the owner, is doing to continue updating the facility. Christine, the director, and staff are so caring. Horrible living environment. The owner, John, is a complete bully. He pushes his weight around on the seniors he is supposed to be supporting. He is having electrical, plumbing and regular construction done on the building without proper permits and without using qualified contractors. Extremely overpriced for the low quality provided, staff is great but the owner needs to be looked into. I am completely embarrassed that my parents live here. STAY AWAY

My husband and I looked for a place for his 90 year old grandmother that was close by our home. I researched retirement places, and Riverside Residences had everything she needed for independent living. I liked the fact that the website was very transparent with pricing and amenities.
