I purchased a 115 E Tec from Joel last winter he was very knowledgeable and very helpful through the whole process. The installation was neat and clean. I unloaded my boat 16 times this summer from the Cape to Maine Long days fishing and sandbars the motor runs perfect sips fuel runs clean. I highly recommend talking with Joel when you need a repower. I'm very satisfied.
I was having an issue with a lower unit on my engine. I had bought a replacement online that wouldn't work. When I went to Joel he could have easily sold me another lower unit. But instead he stayed late and fixed the one I had. I couldn't be more grateful and I cant imagine a more honest and ethical way to fix the problem I was having. I hope to have the chance to do business with him again.
Joel truly is the best in the northeast for Evinrude Johnson motors. I brought my boat to two different shops, and missed out on a year and a half of boating as well as literal thousands of dollars just to have both places come to the conclusion that I should sell the motor for parts. I brought it to Joel as a last ditch effort because I couldn't afford a new one and he had it running, sounding, and looking brand new after one day of working on it for very little money. From our first phone call last fall until this spring of 2025 Joel was very professional, knowledgeable, and very honest as how to approach re-powering my boat. We live in central Maine and had a referral from a close friend here in Maine that used Joel. The process went absolutely perfect with Joel installing a 150hp Evinrude E-TEC along with hydraulic steering.
