I was a patient of Katonas for 18 years, had a mental breakdown, went to get a second opinion from a female Dr, Katona dropped me. After I got mentally straight again I reached out, explained the situation, they refused to let me make an appointment. 18 YEARS and they dropped me like I didn't matter. Being disabled I now had to find a new dr that would accept me and anyone that has any health issues knows how hard that is. I no longer feel comfortable at Riverside Family Medicine; Dr. Katona is a good doctor but the front end staff can be extremely rude. I never can get my $35 medical paperwork filled out in a timely manner that is required every 6 months for my job and it’s always missing the same information which causes me to miss my deadline. This rating is for Sonya the office manager that told me she’s the only one there that fills out FMLA paperwork then in the same phone conversation she tells me the paperwork is not ready because they are short staffed. I was also told by her they have a two week turn around policy. This is just ridiculous to let important papers sit on your desk for weeks out when it only takes a few minutes to answer.
