Terrible billing experience despite prompt insurance coverage. I visited Riverside Doctors' Hospital ER in February 2025 and paid my $100 copay. My insurance (UnitedHealthcare StudentResources) processed and paid the claim in full shortly after. Despite this, the billing department repeatedly sent me balance bills for $189 due to their own internal errors — even after I provided proof of payment and an official Explanation of Benefits from the insurance company. Outstanding treatment by the ER staff last Friday by Dr Johnson, Dr Osner, nurses Hayden and Darci and ultrasound operator Susan ( and a few others whose names I missed). Diagnosed my issue quickly and got me on the road to recovery! Thank you !!!!

Last Christmas I was 15 weeks pregnant and went to the ER because my gums and tonsils were extremely swollen and in so much pain I could barely sip water. I was in an excruciating amount of pain and the male er doctor completely dismissed me. He didn’t even look in my mouth and said “your gums aren’t swollen” even though they clearly were and were blood red. He then goes on to say it’s okay that I can’t eat because I don’t need food.
