Last Christmas I was 15 weeks pregnant and went to the ER because my gums and tonsils were extremely swollen and in so much pain I could barely sip water. I was in an excruciating amount of pain and the male er doctor completely dismissed me. He didn’t even look in my mouth and said “your gums aren’t swollen” even though they clearly were and were blood red. He then goes on to say it’s okay that I can’t eat because I don’t need food. We went to Riverside Emergency because we thought my friend might have had a small stroke. They got us in within minutes, and Dr. Fernandez immediately put him through for a CT scan. He had recently had Bronchitis so they also did an x-ray of his lungs. They did blood test and urine test. The longest part was waiting for results, but everything came back clear. I brought my son in at 9pm on a Sunday night for an elbow injury from a bicycle wipeout. Absolutely incredible staff! Everyone we encountered was pleasant, kind, attentive, and prompt. We didn’t wait long for anything from start to finish and my son was smiling the entire time we were here. Thank you for extraordinary care!
