I wouldn’t recommend taking your family there. Poor care.. and when you’re working there and you decide to retire and you have a family member staying there they give you a 45 day eviction notice with somebody with dementia and don’t even assist in getting into another place. That says a lot about the management and business. If you are operating your business right, you would help your residence that you evict helped them in the process of getting somebody in somewhere else.
The director, Emily, is very involved in overseeing residents’ care and excels at finding solutions to challenges, as needed. The caregivers, other employees, and the owners always treated our family with kindness and compassion. The buildings and grounds are nicely maintained and it is evident that the owners care about the residents and the environment that is their home.
My husband is a resident of the Riverside Cottages since last November and both he and I are grateful for the kindness and support of the staff and entire community. We feel blessed that my husband can feel as if the residence is his home and, most significantly, he tells me he feels safe. This is truly a gem amidst all the Assisted Living facilities.
Riverside Cottages provided exceptional care for my dad during his time there while he was living with vascular dementia. From the moment he arrived, we felt supported and confident that he was in compassionate, capable hands. Please do not send your loved ones here! They only care for your money, not the well being of residents. Also, the facility has a huge roach infestation problem. The owners Michelle & Robert are extremely rude as well as Egocentric.
