I was seen for a possible ectopic pregnancy/ miscarriage. I was told to cancel my appointment at a different Riverside location and the OB’s would take me at their clinic since they had seen me in the ER. I tried calling to get the appointment to be seen in 10 days like they recommended, the receptionist (I assume) told me “the doctors don’t override the rules, we need a new referral, we need to make sure we get paid, ok bye”. This review is for the appointment department. I called today 2/24/2026 around 9:47 am. I told the lady who answered that I needed to make a an appt and that I have a referral that was send to them, she asked me my information and then said that they haven’t got a referral I told her that my insurance has send it twice, she stated that there is two referrals in the system and that they are both to two different departments. Dr Barbara Simpson was phenomenal. I felt heard, validated, and ultimately left with the surgery I hoped to have done, fully scheduled and educated on. She was compassionate, educated, with a friendly bedside manner. She even saw me 15 minutes before my scheduled appt (I showed up early and had one of the first appts of the day) but apparently she comes in early too but wasted no time having me sit awkwardly in the room by myself :) I thought the whole front desk staff was friendly and I ultimately have zero complaints about... read more
