I visited Rivermark Community Credit Union to inquire about an auto loan. The office itself is modern and the staff appeared professional, so my initial impression was positive. On Feb 17, 2026 approximately 9:15am I entered the branch to enquire about a deposited check clearing sometime that day. I had made deposits the previous Friday forgetting there was a holiday on Monday and as a result I was overdrafted by $326 The personal banker asked a bunch of questions before disappearing to speak to the hidden "wizard of oz" banker for 10-15 minutes. I called Rivermark Community Credit Union to ask why my mobile check deposit had not been accepted yet. The customer service representative reviewed my information but responded by explaining that, under policy, all funds might not be available right away. I understand Rivermark’s funds availability policy. That was not my question. I was asking why the deposit had not been accepted yet. Despite being ahead on my car loan by 3+ months if you dont make a payment for a month they will still count it as late. On top of that after you paid off your car they will say the last payment was at the end of the loan. This means it will take even longer to be removed from your credit report messing up your credit for even longer. This company is complete trash. Please find a different credit union this one doesn't care about the people
