Ok, let's take it back 3yrs ago. When I first got dog, he was just a lil pup. While long story short he contacted a virus called Polvo. If some have not heard of it. It could be a very life threading virus. Well, Riverland got my dog back to full health. So, my experience at R.A.H was a great one. I've been taking him there ever since and not had problem. Yes, we all might get that one bad Doc or nusre, but overall visits where good ones.
One BAD APPLE spoils the bunch! Vet Lynne Snow has a TERRIBLE bed-side manner, VERY Sarcastic, argues with the customer and has NO EMPATHY. Charging a customer to re-bangage a cast she re-bandaged the day prior that caused the puppy to hurt on a 2.6LB puppy is ridiculous! The puppy was in a cast with bandaging for two weeks and didn't have any problem until she changed the bandages. And why was my dog drugged? She wasn't drugged the day before when she did it! SO MAD! I just read all the negative reviews. No place is going to be perfect and will always have disgruntled customers. And dissatisfied customers are usually quicker to write reviews. Plus I noticed the dates of some of these reviews were over 4 years old. I have heard horror stories about every other veterinarian clinic in Laplace. My experience with Riverlands Animal Hospital has been fantastic. I have been bringing my pets there for over 40 years. I have never encountered an unfriendly doctor. My experience was the worst. Being new to the area we were directed to them in a medical emergency! 24 hours later and 1250.93 USD still no answers. In the meantime we contacted another local vet for help and he said get your cat out of there and move on. I also contacted my cats vet in our home state and with what I could tell him on the phone we had an emergency situation and moved on. I LOVE the staff, and even better, they love my dogs as much as I do! I take my dogs here for everything - vaccinations, injuries, boarding. They walk my dogs every four hours while boarding. I am so impressed with the professionalism, the fun and kindness towards my animals, and the prices are the best around. Everyone at work uses them too. 5 stars!!
They are pretty high as far as price goes but they really do take care of your pets here. They are very friendly and you know when you are there that the animals well being is their priority. I just recently started coming here and I would recommend this officef or sure.
If I could give a negative star I would. I just brought my dog in for an exam b/c he was vomiting and having diarrhea. They wanted to a complete CBC Sr. panel. Do you know what they quoted me? $300.00!!! I just called MSAH. The same tests $95-$117. These people are OUTRAGEOUS!. I have 4 other pets and not once have they ever offered to give me any type of discount or anything, despite the fact I was at the front desk checking out one day and overheard a woman asking Dr. Jay if she was getting "the discount." I will never do business with them again... I made an appointment with them to have my rescue pup neutered, when I called I told them he was adopted & who I adopted him from. I told them I had his neutered certificate, they told me to bring it when I brought him in... When I get there this morning they told me they would not honor his certificate & it would cost me 300.00.. Need less to say I left! & I will never use them again!
