We hiked to Great Falls Park. Easy parking.
I had the most amazing time here. The view is amazing and the amount you pay for 2.5 hr it's worthy. It was such a fun activity. I will definitely go back before summer ends.
This state park is just a few miles from Great Falls National park in VA. There is no entrance fee and a $2 donation per car is suggested. Restrooms in the visitor's center are clean. The center has a small museum and was stocked with ice cream, snacks and cold drinks. Boats were available for hire and walk-ins were allowed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Boat rental is currently open from Fri-Sun. You can reserve rental online. Walk-in is available if it’s not too busy. Beautiful park. My family had a good time kayaking and picnicking here.
