The website does not do this place Justice. The view is spectacular.
This is by far the cleanest parking lot, room, and overall property where we have ever stayed! The kitchen was well equipped for basic cooking needs. We were in town for the Festival of Miles where we completed the 12-hour loop run. Returning exhausted to such a cozy and clean room was wonderful. We used to always stay at our friend’s place, The Creeper Trail Cottages, but unfortunately Helene put an end to that. Hopefully River Trail Inn will be our new replacement for our home away from home of Damascus!
This is our second stay! Each visit, we have been so happy. I appreciate the thoughtful "clean" brand choices in hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower dispensers. 100 percent cotton towels. Organic coffee, and a nice clean kitchen stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, not to mention the location overlooks the Virginia creeper, and a peaceful river and pasture to enjoy from your porch.
