I had a fantastic experience this evening at the newly opened River and Rye. Although I am very excited to experience the ambience of the inside of the restaurant, I sat on on the porch this evening being that I had my two dogs with me. The service was fantastic and attentive, the Parmesan truffle fries, the fried brussels sprouts and the fig salad were all well done and exceptional. The cocktails were also expertly crafted. We visited to celebrate my birthday and were promptly seated in a bar booth as we had a reservation. If it were possible to provide a rating of 4.5 stars, I would do so. Our server, Tiffany, was excellent; she was attentive without being intrusive and provided helpful recommendations for both menu items and cocktails. The entire staff was very kind and pleasant. Poor business decision in downtown CDA to be 21 and over only, especially when you are a full service restaurant. Good luck with locals only in the off season. You are alienating a large portion of the local community that would otherwise support your business.
Wow, never been in a place that makes you feel like you need to beg them to allow you to be a customer. The owners are from the Seattle area and brought that attitude to North Idaho. There were so many points of awful customer service that our party experienced…we’ll never go back. Figure out the community you are trying to be a part of and adjust accordingly.
Good food, good vibes from the atmosphere and servers, my beer was great and I ordered too much good food and couldn't finish, but even my leftovers were so good too! Will be back
