I think they should keep up on weather reports and inform customers before they take my $80! We were on the river for maybe 15 mins. Didn't even get past the River Run campground. Sat in the rain for 30 off to the side then decided because everything was wet and we were miserable. Climbed up bank and got a ride back. We could have got hurt, with the rain making the river faster. It's not about the $80, it's about safety. Not happy. Great place to get kayaks and go down the river! Would recommend
We had a great time kayaking! They offer double kayaks. Their staff are very friendly! The prices weren't bad. The 3 mile trip is plenty for a beginner, to medium level of experience. If you don't want to be around a lot of people, definitely go on a weekday. They have restrooms to the left of the building.
