Overpriced for the quality – I've used this cleaning service several times and will never go back. My shirts always come back with wrinkles pressed into them, and I have to re-iron them before wearing to work. It kind of defeats the purpose. They also are very pricy for such service! My bill for 4 shirts was $27. I can't think of any way to justify that since I had to go home and re-launder them so I could iron out the wrinkles. Please save your money; most mom-and-pop cleaners are far better than this place.
So-so & stains – I don't look for much in service from a drycleaner except pressed, clean clothes. I'm not sure, but 1) I think they have stained some of my shirts. 2) I have a very expensive shirt that was given to me and it is starting to look worn. 3) The pressing is fair at best. About 1/3 of my shirts come back with wrinkles pressed into them, particularly around the upper sleeve. 4) They also offer no special service such as fixing broken buttons automatically. I'm now looking for another midtown cleaner.
The cleaning may be bad but at least the customer service is lack luster – I had been using Pilgrim dry cleaners, but became increasingly unhappy with the service so I switched to River Oaks. Oh my was that a mistake. After a couple of months with no issues I discovered a weird spot on a tan suit jacket that wasnt there before. I took it back repeatedly and had it recleaned, but River Oaks was incredibly dismissive of the issue, and the stain would only spread making it worse.
