My husband and I stayed two nights in a king room. This renovated motel is absolutely beautiful. It is SO well done. It looks better in person than in the photos. The room was clean and well appointed. It even had a Bluetooth speaker in a retro style. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The pool area is great. If you are visiting Paso Robles and are bored with the corporate "Inns". This is the place for you. Quirky cool decor and room design. A nice little covered patio to park my bike or relax. It's located right next to the beautiful Green Valley Rd.
Just WOW; I could live here forever. The rooms, the staff, the front yards, the dog friendly areas, the pool, the vibe, the shower, the ‘lobby’, the gift shop! All 10/10! I can’t figure out how this place can survive with ALL the upscale things going on; clearly the owner has GREAT PRIDE in keeping the ‘motel’ styling. Haven't stayed at The River Lodge, but Caio Papi is a fun poolside dining spot and they make the best Shirley Temple I've found in SLO County.
