We loved our stay at the River Lodge. Our room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Attention to detail is spot on. The retro vibe is fun and welcoming. All the staff couldn't have been nicer. The pool and grounds are well maintained and having a great bar and restaurant on the grounds was an added bonus.

I really love this place. Each detail is pleasing -- the room decor, the bath products, the selection of books, the communal spaces in the lobby and at the pool, the free bottle of wine if you take advantage of the fall special, and the restauant menu. I've stayed twice and will be back. It's the best of the Nomada hotels, in my opinion.

We stayed at River Lodge for our seven year wedding anniversary and it was exactly right. The restored mid-century motel has real character, and the grounds make it easy to slow down, with a great adults-only pool, fire pits, and gardens right outside the rooms. Our meal at Ciao Papi, the poolside restaurant, was a highlight. Curtis, the manager there, went above and beyond to make it special. A perfect base for Paso wine country. We'll be back.
