Visited in 2.7.19 while staying with a friend and was very impressed with the shop. It's not huge, but there's a great selection. It's well organized and the shopkeeper was helpful but not overbearing. There was a group in the back half of the store knitting and visiting and that added to the sense of warmth. Nice store! They had a good selection of yarn from a number of different categories. They also had a nice selection of needles, hooks, and notions.

Nice shop in downtown Lafayette! I enjoyed browsing, and even bought a little yarn. Good broad selection, lots to like!

I love visiting River Knits whenever I am in Lafayette. It's one of the things I miss most about moving away! The shop is great and well stocked, the staff is superb and the ties to the community are deep and strong. If you love yarn and knitters/crocheters, you will love River Knits!
