Back again one year later and even better than before! Will be coming by every summer. The Maine fog and cucumber trick were excellent cocktails to start the meal. Then had oysters, the carrot spread and the pork belly bites for starters, all incredible. Finally had the porchetta and my wife had the scallops for main courses, both incredible. Delicious food, amazing atmosphere and such great attention to detail. Hands down the best swordfish I’ve ever had and couldn’t recommend more highly!
I will definitely be going back! My wife was not feeling well so I walked down the street (we are on vacation from Virginia) and I stopped in and had a seat at the bar and Bridgette, who was amazing, told such great care of me. The restaurant was slammed busy but she, the chef, and all the others were so attentive and kind. And the drinks and food were delicious and very affordable. Not just another dinner; a dinner with Mainers. The joy in the kitchen adjacent to the bar area, where we enjoyed an exquisite dinner with our bartender, Oren, was more than palpable; it was infectious! The chef knows what he is doing here - from the amuse-bouche to the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo, every course we tried had tremendous bursts of flavor, sustenance, and reflected the fresh, local flavors of the Damariscotta and surrounding farming community.
