If I could give this hospital a zero, I would. Please DO NOT go here for an emergency if you have another option. The care we received was awful, and the bill was nearly triple what we’ve experienced at Samaritan—for a visit where they ultimately could not provide the care I needed. I filed a formal complaint with the hospital after TWO nurses did not wear gloves during IV setup and injections. We were visiting and my husband who has several health issues needed to be seen. They took him immediately and the care was efficient, prompt, and so very compassionate!! We were so pleased with the care he was given and so very grateful!!

I was seeing yesterday at The River Hospital ER. I went there after twisting and braking my ankle. The care I received was amazing. I wish I remember everyone’s names. Everyone from the front desk staf, to nurses, the x-ray technician and everyone in between was absolutetly amazing. I left still in pain but while I was there they took care of me with compasion. That meant a lot!

Terrible experience here. Stay away and go to Syracuse if you think you have a serious need. You are better off at an urgent care for less serious matters. I went in on a Saturday evening. They did not even have a Doctor on site. I only spoke with a PA. I explained that I fell on a slippery dock and hit my head,hip ,and arm. They only x-rayed my shoulder and gave me a CT scan. I explained that I was seeing grayish moving spots in front of my vision, and was showing them how my arm was weak and drifting like a floppy arm. The... read more

Very good, prompt treatment. Excellent nurses and doctors in the ER. Good bedside manner, knowledgeable and efficient.
