We've now used River Express twice for two moves; one to my parents' place while we sold our apartment, and then the subsequent move to our new place. Some items also went to a storage unit. They will drop off heavy duty stackable containers prior to the move which means a lot of items can move without being meticulously packed into boxes. The clothing racks are also really great as you can leave most of your clothes on hangers and they'll make it across. Disappointed from the beginning. The removal truck arrived with two guys who were not From the company that we booked and were not Japanese. Turns out they were contractors… you hire a Japanese company and expect to get workers from that company, not contractors. About half an hour after the truck arrived “One” staff from River express turned up. During the move he said they don’t move little things so I had to make multiple trips up and down to my car. Amazing service and made the whole experience stress-free. The team was very timely and transparent on the day. Tetsuro-san was very kind enough to provide the Orange baskets a week prior, which was super useful for small items. Well worth the money for the services provided! Would 100% recommend them to anyone.
