The home is beautifully appointed, and Mark is an exceptional host. We were looking for a peaceful, secluded getaway in Kauai, and this property exceeded our expectations. Everything was comfortable and thoughtfully maintained. I also have to mention that the bed in the master bedroom was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

There is nothing like staying in a beautiful, private home when on vacation. This home was one of my favorites. It is Hawaiian luxury and comfort defined. Mark was there for us every step of the way ensuring our stay was everything we had hoped for. Insider tip…bring earplugs if roosters bother you. But that is true throughout Hawaii! 🐔

Mark is the consummate host -ready and willing not only to help with your stay at Riverhouse, but also to help with your arrangements for activities in the area. We LOVED what we called our “treehouse” as the view out the windows was of beautiful green trees, plants, colorful flowers, etc. We found all things we needed in the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms. The atmosphere of these accommodations are second to none. Falling asleep each night to the sound of a river was a highlight. The house we stayed in was well appointed so preparing food was a breeze, and there is a coffee shop and market within walking distance. Mark super informative and accommodating as he said "Accommodation is my job!". Attached is a picture of a Black Crowned Night Herron, ‘Auku‘u, seen from the River House.
