Mark is the consummate host -ready and willing not only to help with your stay at Riverhouse, but also to help with your arrangements for activities in the area. We LOVED what we called our “treehouse” as the view out the windows was of beautiful green trees, plants, colorful flowers, etc. We found all things we needed in the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms. Mark was absolutely incredible and helped us so much with the entire organization of our trip. We communicated a lot before we arrived and his advice was priceless — he even booked a helicopter tour for us. No one would ever be wrong to trust him. If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Our stay was absolutely perfect. We travel to Kauai often and the only downside to this place is that now I will never be able to return and stay anywhere else :) Our trip to the island usually consists of many excursions and being out and about. We stayed in the River Estate Guesthouse for 15 delightful days and as soon as we got home we booked the Riverhouse for 18 days next year. The location is truly ideal if you enjoy snorkeling, SUP, kayaks or simply being on beautiful uncrowded beaches. The house was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could want in an extended stay. River estate is heaven, and Mark is an angel. There are few places on the planet--maybe no other--that can compete with the river estate property. The property is much more beautiful than the photos. It's sublime. The birds, the crickets, the river, and the best beaches are within 7 minutes. It's perfectly located, it offers everything you could desire, and you have a wonderful angel of a person to rely on for anything you may need--if you want that! You will feel grateful you had the chance to be there!
