I did my best to educate you on the health of fish and why sicknesses occur in the fish trade. My husband and I just moved into a new home this weekend. We called around town to all of the local fish stores to get a quote on getting some help to move our fish tank. I am 8 months pregnant and found this to be a priority. River City Aquatics not only gave us the most reasonable and fair pricing, but truly went above and beyond our expectations. Beware I have bought several fish and corals from this store, and used to visit regularly since it was the closest to my house. Unfortunately I made the mistake of hiring them to do some maintenance on my tank. After they put about 50 pounds of UNCURED live rock in my tank, the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels all spiked, killing nearly everything in my tank. I told the owner that I did not think that I should have to pay for them killing my tank so he told me I could no longer shop at his store. I will avoid them like th... read more
The review below entitled "beware" was written by a customer who completely neglected his aquarium. There was not much we could do when he finally came to us, but we tried to help regardless. Please feel free to drop by our store sometime and see how we really take care of our customers.
Best Fish Store in Central Texas One of the best stores in town. The friendliest and most knowledgeable staff around. They have the largest selections of African Cichlids in central Texas. I just started saltwater and they have helped me every step of the way. Their saltwater livestock is with out a doubt the healthiest out off all the other stores in Austin. They get in new saltwater livestock every tuesday and thursday, so those are the best days to go if you are looking for saltwater fish and corals.
