We had such a great experience at Rivayat Creative Indian in Charleston! The food was absolutely delicious, and you can tell they put a lot of care into the flavors. I ordered the Dhaba Lamb Curry, and it was amazing! The lamb was so tender, and the curry was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. What an incredible and creative addition to the neighborhood! They nailed it with the atmosphere, service and food!!! Definitely on my repeat list.
Good ambience and kind of only Indian Restaurant at this level of hospitality in downtown Charleston. Food more fit for clientele they face and for my take little overpriced. Then again it’s downtown Charleston that can be Justified. We ordered the mild level spice but every dish was way too spicy even for our indian pallet and I was sweating. Explanation from our server was oh, shrimps are always more spicy than anything else on the menu!!!
My wife and I had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Rivayat tonight, and the entire experience was outstanding! Spice Palette in Mount Pleasant has long been one of our favorite restaurants in the Charleston area, so we were excited to experience Rivayat.
