Discovery Commons at Spring Creek in Garland has been a Gossend. The executive director and all the staff have been very kind and responsive to our needs. They’ve been flexible and accommodating and provided all the things that we needed. My mom suddenly passed away 10 days ago and we needed immediate help for placement of my father in memory care. My mother has lived at Discovery Commons for two months. The staff and team have been very helpful, kind and accommodating. They are friendly, quick to assist and have made mom feel very special. Mom's studio apartment opens to the courtyard which she really enjoys. She has a rocking chair, bird feeders and is looking forward to having some potted plants as the weather improves. I visited Discovery Commons at Spring Creek, Garland, Texas on Friday August 2, 2019. Oh my goodness! I have lived in Garland almost 10 years, travel this area almost daily and never knew it was there! What a secret treasure! Beginning with the parking lot and landscaping, this facility looks brand new, very clean, well lit and gorgeously decorated! I enjoy my weekly visits for prayer and Communion. I also get to meet other wonderful residents who are eager to share their stories with me. A caring and loving atmosphere which shines through their staff.
I’m Celesse and I give Discovery Commons 5 stars. I’ve been here for nearly two years and I really like the new management. This is such a very nice place with very good staff. The food is good and the Chef is a special person. If I have any maintenance or housekeeping requests, the Maintenance Director is quick to respond. The nurse is a very nice lady who answers any questions I might have. My showers are on time, and my apartment is kept clean by staff. I love bingo and we have a good activity calendar.
