As a resident (since 1993) concerned about this community, I wanted to post a comment about fee increases: It may be daunting to vote for a fee increase, but if you want to know WHY please read the Columbus Dispatch "At Home" section for Sunday September 21. The column by Glink & Tamkin titled "Real Estate Matters" paints a pic of someone trying to do this exact same thing for a smaller condo association with only 30 units and they have a 75% rule as opposed to ~209 units with a 67% rule.
Starting to regret moving here. Struggling to get things into a decently maintained state is stressful enough after moving in when previous owner seems to have let things go a bit and all the fun expensive surprises that come up. Its not totally abnormal and I will contend with that for awhile as I can afford it. However the worse part is trying to get anyone to communicate with me about an issue I have in my basement with water and is first time I've really needed to cooperate with the association/Kathi Horvath.
