I had been a loyal customer of Rita’s Italian Ice for years, but after this experience, I feel sad 😔 I showed up to pick up an order that was already paid for, only to be told that THEY had given it to someone else. I completely understand that as a business you need to protect your product and avoid losses, but the way the manager (or owner) handled the situation was completely unacceptable. I’m very saddened by the treatment I received here. I came during a line and I was the last one in line, after the people before me was taken care of I was next. At this time I didn’t receive any acknowledgment or anything and what made it worse was they were all just standing around joking with each other as if I wasn’t there at all. Safe, Delicious, and Dairy-Free! Rita’s Italian Ice and Frozen Custard is a total win for our family! My son has severe dairy allergies, and their Italian Ice is completely non-dairy and safe — unfortunately he cannot have the frozen custard but we’ll take what we can get! The staff were careful and kind, and the flavors are incredible (cotton candy and blue raspberry are his favorites!). Finally, a place where he can enjoy a frozen treat like everyone else.
