Love the location right on Main Street. Plenty of outdoor seating and it's nice to walk around Freehold with a cold treat. The custard is rich and creamy, and the Italian ice has real fruit flavor. I got a gelati (custard layered with ice) and it hit the spot. Only complaint is they were out of a few flavors when I went, which seems to happen often at this location. Also a bit pricey for what you get. Still a solid spot for dessert on a warm night.
Visited Rita’s ice today with my daughter. We come at least once a week. Purchased 2 small ices and my daughter did not care for her ice. I went up to the counter and asked the girl if I could switch out my ice since my daughter didn’t like it. She said yes if you pay. Spent over 10 dollars on 2 ices. As a loyal customer this is unexeptable!!!
Amazing service and gelato/italian ice! Workers are so friendly and kind, and the Italian ice is superb. I live nearby and this is my go to place.
You can never go wrong with Rita’s for a late night treat!
