this Rita is a nightmare sent me an 82 year old woman in a wheel chair a letter demanding copies of our tax returns with all our personal information for 2 years in which we did not live in , work in or do business in the Village of Greenhills for 1/2 of 2019 and not at all in 2021. Why can t I pay my local taxes the same way as I pay the rest of my taxes?????
They never send a bill out. I have requested that a bill be sent to my home for 8 years and I still have not received a bill. They want people to be late on their bills so they can charge a late fee. It is all a scam.
They just seem like a scam. I tried to call and get to the bottom of why RITA needs my tax info from years I wasn't even in the city. The only thing that was said to me a threat "well if you don't send in this info we will send out a court order for it." If this is a reputable agency then wouldn't they communicate with the IRS to see I've paid all my taxes well before the deadline? I was already super charged another $75 to my only $92 tax because they said my money order wasn't correct that I sent them back in April and did... read more
I was fined for a late payment on an electronically filed return where I was fully withheld and owed no tax. I wrote a letter and the only response I got was another invoice. I paid it so I don't have to deal with RITA again.
