I was 320 lbs, today I'm 200. I am in the gym everyday. Eating healthy. I have Rods n screws n my back.. utmb did a emergency mri. All the emergency room docs said, id needed back surgery. He came in for 5 seconds, ignored anything said. Nurse said r u pain. I said yes n a 10. Utmb has refused pain medicine. I was crying n iv had 13 surgeries, I go emergency room, they tell me , go primary, he doesn't do anything. Utmb is the worst place to ever go to . This doc doesn't care. I took my girlfriend in to see the doc. She does work out every day, she also volunteers at a horse ranch.shes had 13 surgeries. She has no pain medicine. They refuse to give her anything.but muscle relaxers that doesn't help her .she has also done everything by the book, she goes to her primary care doc, she follows with the neurosurgeon. She goes emergency only because she's in extreme pain . I have been suffering for over twelve years with back problems and have gone through four operations, I met Dr Lall and his team at the Health Neurosurgery Spine Care at UTMB Clear Lake Campus. I decided to undergo my fifth operation, I have never been more satisfied with the skill, manner and patient care that I received , when I woke up in recovery I was not in any pain, I was asked if I could sit up , and I did then I stood up and walked a few steps with out any pain to this day I have not taken any pain medication. On May 25th 2021. Dr Lall became my hero. I suffered from Stenosis and L4- L5 complications. My sciatic nerve took over my life, the hydrocodone n oxycdone didn't help. Thc n Cbd didn't help. Steroid shots didn't help, Chiropractors didn't help, Massage therapy didn't help. Electrical pulse therapy didn't help. I lost feelings and walking abilities. My legs n feet went numb. People would tell me you will be in pain for the rest of your life if you have surgery. Maybe in a wheelchair or maybe paralyzed if you have back surger... read more
