The fritters here are actually really bad. They are really dense, chewy dough. Feels like eating a loaf of bread. Wish I hady money back for that one. They should really look at what Titus donuts is doing with their fritters. Otherwise, their donuts are stellar. Everytime I'm on the Northside, I make an attempt to visit. The Carmel icing is like salted Carmel, and no other donut shop touches it. They got rid of their best item, the mocha nut cinnamon rolls. Very disappointing ☹️
I'm convinced Rise N Roll bakery uses MSG (monosodium glutamate), and/or some other chemical concoction in their donuts. I split 'one' plain donut, and both myself and my partner felt like we had been drugged, felt horrible, and had terrible headaches.
