My parents had lived at Grand for over 15 years. It had been a mostly pleasant experience until the last 2 or 3 years ago. We had seen a huge exodus of Chinese/Asian residents, as well as staff that can speak Chinese. Wharfside commons is a cesspool of inconvenience, violence, drug dealers, lying/rude and unprofessional staff, trash, disrespectful neighbors, and malfunctioning appliances. When I moved in here, it was not communicated that there was a $40 fee for washer and dryer usage(my dryer was broken and did not even work). The carpets had gum all over in every room; the stove did not work properly when I wanted to bake something in the oven; there was always trash outside my door; and the apartment was disgusting when I first moved i... read more
This place is horrible
Horrible! This place is horrible!!!! It’s so cold in these apartments and the price you pay to live here you will be paying double the amount in your electric bill due to the central system they got to keep the living room and kitchen on frozen.
While apartme ts themselves are marginally ok maintenance is a forever big big problem.I sit her tonight after calling in a maintenance request for toilets backing up at about 8pm. It's now 10pmI have sewage water back g go in both my bathrooms into the tubs. I just called for maintenance again a d tild them if they aren't hereby 8:30am to fix this problem I will scoop up water into buckets and and go dump it k to the floors if the rental ofIice.
