I have had a positive experience with Ripleys Auto until today. I did call about my concern today and I was told Rick would call me back. He didn't unfortunately. I was communicated with poorly which ended up wasting my time and money. On the 13th of May this year I took my Explorer in for a wheel bearing replacement. All went well and the bill for the bearing replacement came out to $682.52 after tax. A bit high for my liking but I find Ripleys to be fast and convenient. Brought our van in for a tire swap (already on rims), oil change and a diagnosis of the check engine light. At that time, they already quoted us for $397 which is ridiculous. Then later called to tell us the heat shield was resting on something, the front brakes were seized and brake pads needed to be changed even though the brakes had all been done last year. They also told us one of the replacement tires had a leak in it even though it had been stored away for the last year. Now they were quoting us for over $1300. We told... read more
