My very kind & loving husband, the sweet soul that he is, decided to brush my car off one morning before going to work. I hadn't driven in a while, and my windshield wipers were completely frozen, and in his attempt to lift them to clear the ice, the blade and arm detached. I waited for a sunny day, where I would not have to use my wipers, to travel to Canadian Tire in search of a 26" wiper blade. I took my car here a couple years ago. They quoted me over $3k to fix it. I told them that I wasn’t going to spend that much to fix it. It’s old. They wouldn’t let me drive it said it was unsafe and they had someone who would take it and go to the scrape yard. Well needless to say, they are still driving it around and it’s 3 years later.

Brought my car in and after spending well over $3000 in repairs I was told I needed tires and transmission work. I had a gut feeling something was wrong with their recommendations. I took my car to a tire shop they told me I didn’t need tires. I also took it to another mechanic and they said I didn’t need transmission work and fixed the issue. I have had a positive experience with Ripleys Auto until today. I did call about my concern today and I was told Rick would call me back. He didn't unfortunately. I was communicated with poorly which ended up wasting my time and money. On the 13th of May this year I took my Explorer in for a wheel bearing replacement. All went well and the bill for the bearing replacement came out to $682.52 after tax. A bit high for my liking but I find Ripleys to be fast and convenient. Brought our van in for a tire swap (already on rims), oil change and a diagnosis of the check engine light. At that time, they already quoted us for $397 which is ridiculous. Then later called to tell us the heat shield was resting on something, the front brakes were seized and brake pads needed to be changed even though the brakes had all been done last year.
