if you are hungry on arrival you certainly won’t be when you leave. Last Saturday was our second time in Rioja having previously stumbled across the restaurant out of luck. Will continue to return. Chicken doughnuts are outstanding and as a home cook look forwards to trying to recreate these. Food took a long time to arrive on Saturday evening 30/45 minutes but the staff were great in explaining why this was and we weren’t just left waiting. Had a lovely bottle of Rose whilst waited. The food was delicious, it was quite busy so we waited quite a while for our drinks and they missed the prawns dish from our order..
Always excellent food and excellent, cheerful staff. The perfect antidote to the legions of chain restaurants.
