Just getting back from a 4-day stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. Stayed in a 2-story cabin with 3 bedrooms. The cabin and property were well maintained. The fishing in the area is good and rented kayaks for a couple of hours. The fly shop on site is an added benefit. The fly shop had good prices being close to the river, a good selection of items, and the owner was knowledgeable and helpful.
We have stayed at this resort for the last 3 years during the winter in a river front cabin. Their location on the Guadalupe River is amazing! I fly fish and this location is great for wading or with guides for float trips. This property now has a fly shop with everything you need to fly fish this river. After a long day of driving around Canyon Lake, my friends and I could not find a swim spot. We stumbled across Rio Guadalupe resort, and even though we weren’t staying at the hotel, Debbie and her staff allowed us access to the river, which was a big relief. The hospitality was top notch. I would recommend anyone to stay here!
