Nigel Taplin has proved to be a detriment as head master to the once fine academic facility Rio Grande was. In his tenure he has lost almost all of the wonderful and long standing educators and faculty members. I sincerely hope once he leaves they can rebuild the wonerful name and reputation they once had. #riograndeschool #nigeltaplin #santafe

I am so happy to have this school in Santa Fe. The time and attention they have devoted to my daughter has made her a curious learner and a great student. Starting her at 3 years old made such a difference in her comfort with the school community and helped create wonderful friendships.
RGS has been utterly crucial to my daughter's development. She is, by nature, very shy, and RGS has made her feel comfortable to express herself with joy. Aside from the top-flight curriculum and faculty, the work the faculty do with the students in social-emotional learning is unlike anything I've seen elsewhere.
We, and more importantly our kids, have thrived at RGS. They love going to school each day and we see real development all the time. The school has a great focus on core academics and the development of character and resiliency. The administration is always open to new ideas and feedback and the community is supportive and welcoming.
Both of my children, 4 and 6 years old, are thriving at this school! I can't thank the RGS educators and staff enough for all that they do to make RGS a safe, positive, enriching, and a fun learning environment every day. We have searched high and low, and we believe we have found the best school for our kids in Santa Fe. The social-emotional focus sets this school apart, and is one of the many reasons we chose to enroll our children at RGS.
