My first experience at Rinse Cycle was a bit of a challenge, mostly due to my own lack of preparation. I had never taken a cycling class before and arrived only eight minutes before it began, when I should have arrived thirty minutes early to get better acclimated. The instructor was helpful, but the quick pace and loud environment made it difficult for me to follow along. Totally understand why they get such great reviews! My first ride was really supportive, the instructor was really welcoming, the music was bangin’, and it was a well paced spin class! Having never done “soulcycle” style spin class before (ie, mostly in the dark) or used a tilting bicycle before, I was unprepared for how motion sick I got during class! Ownership ethics needs improvement; Fiscally greedy and morally condescending. Not for me. I received a 5 ride package as a gift and was unable to use it the first month (expires after 3 months/ 90 days) because I was sick, first with Covid then strep. I guess I should have spread my sickness since I was penalized for cancelling the class and charged a credit anyway. My other issue: I’m obese and currently working on weight loss.
